Advisor Forum presents December Charlie Award
The K-State Advisor Forum has selected Kathy Lillich, academic advisor for the political science and history departments, for the December Charlie Award.
Lillich was nominated for this award by two of her colleagues for her passion for advising and her willingness to be a team player.
"Kathy's positivity and energy are infectious! She lives and advises with such joy and care," said Kaela Urquhart, one of Lillich's nominators. "I am so excited when I meet a student who is studying political science or history because I know they are in the best hands with her as their advisor. Not only does she have the content knowledge to be a great resource for them, but she has such a passion for advising and ensuring student success. K-State is extremely lucky to have her."
Additionally, Lillich was nominated by Elli Archer.
"Kathy is an amazing advisor, colleague, and all around human being," said Archer. "I jump at any opportunity to work with Kathy because she is an incredible team player. She brings knowledge, insight, and empathy to every meeting — whether we're working directly with a student or serving on a committee. I think Kathy's students are especially lucky in that she both understands the ins and outs of advising and K-State policy, but she also has a background in the fields she advises. She can and does support students from day one with their campus visit all the way through graduation."
The K-State Advisor Forum thanks Lillich for the work she has done and congratulates her on this award.
