Join Jan. 24 Local Food Virtual Town Hall

The quarterly Local Food Virtual Town Hall sponsored by K-State Research and Extension-Local Food Systems will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, on Zoom. Pre-registration is required to attend. 

Each quarterly town hall features several presentations at the beginning with a Q&A session following. Then participants are invited to share program updates or successes from around the state. This quarter's featured speakers will highlight either funding opportunities or the process of receiving funding for local food system projects. 

Speakers include:

  • Britni Beck, executive director of the Center for Excellence of Regenerative Native Agriculture with the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. 
  • Jessica Gnad, director of K-State 105. 
  • Brittney Grother, grants coordinator, Kansas Department of Agriculture. 
  • Erica Blair, program manager, Kansas Healthy Food Initiative.
