Roberts to present at Forum on Digital Innovation
Submitted by Camilla J. Roberts
The 15th annual Forum on Digital Innovation online event will take place on Friday, Feb. 9. Three tracks of learning are available: innovation, open learning, and e-portfolio practice and research.
Camilla Roberts, director of the Honor and Integrity System, was asked to participate in a panel discussion in the innovation track titled, "Academic Integrity — Where Next?"
Abstract for the panel: Generative AI has been said to pose an existential threat to standards in higher education, opening the floodgates to cheating. Most students don't cheat and don't want to cheat, but AI's pervasiveness and integration into everyday tools — whether writing an email or drafting a presentation — is blurring the boundaries of original work. How can we and our students make sense of this challenge? What can we do as educators to help students make ethical decisions? And how can and should institutions respond?
Faculty, staff and administration are invited to register for the annual forum sponsored by the American Association of Colleges and Universities.
