Registration open for Undergraduate Research Symposium
Registration is now open for the campuswide Undergraduate Research Symposium. The event is sponsored in partnership by Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research and the modern languages department.
All undergraduate students who have conducted research are welcome to apply to present, no matter their discipline or area of study. Please visit the website more information.
The symposium will take place from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in the K-State Student Union Grand Ballroom. The registration deadline is noon Friday, March 22.
Register for the symposium online.
If students have limited research presentation experience, two interactive, informational workshops will take place prior to the symposium. Each event is open to any student interested in presenting at the symposium.
- "Preparing your Poster" — 5 p.m. March 6 in Room 123 of the Leadership Studies Building. This event will offer information and recommendations for creating and editing your 24-inch by 36-inch research poster. The beginning of the session will feature examples from multiple disciplines. Remaining time will be used as an open workshop where students can ask questions of the presenters and gain individual feedback. RSVP online.
- "Presentation Tips and Tricks" — 5 p.m. March 27 in Room 123 of the Leadership Studies Building. This event will provide advice specifically geared toward presenting at a research symposium in a concise yet helpful way. Participants are encouraged to bring a digital copy of their poster, as the workshop will end with mock presentations with peers. RSVP online.
