University community invited to 'Celebrating Women in Engineering' event
The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering is hosting an event to celebrate and discuss the growing presence of women in engineering as part of its observance of Women's History Month.
The College of Engineering offices of Engineering Research and Graduate Programs and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging are teaming up to host "Celebrating Women in Engineering" at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in Room 1109 of Engineering Hall.
Andee McCoy, vice president of business operations at Quanta West, LLC, is the keynote speaker for the event. Joining her from the college are Jessica Heier Stamm, associate professor of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering, and Hande McGinty, assistant professor of computer science. The group will discuss the growing presence of women in engineering, followed by a Q&A session and ending with a social gathering following the event in the ground floor atrium of Engineering Hall.
All in the university community are invited to attend.
