CEZID/CBID Seminar Series presents Benhur Lee

The COBRE Center on Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, or CEZID, is hosting Benhur Lee in the next presentation in the CEZID Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series at 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, in Mara Conference Center on the fourth floor of Trotter Hall. The seminar will also be available via Zoom.
Lee's presentation for the seminar is titled, "Emerging Paramyxoviruses: Targeting the Knowns and Unknowns."
Lee is a professor of microbiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Lee also holds the Ward-Coleman Chair in Microbiology. He obtained his M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine in 1995 and completed his clinical as well as postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania from 1995-2001. Lee is board-certified in clinical pathology. Prior to 2014, he was a professor in the department of microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics, and the department of pathology and laboratory medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
The CEZID seminar series is organized within the diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department in the College of Veterinary Medicine and is hosted by Juergen Richt, CEZID director.
