K-State Choirs commemorate end of spring semester with concerts
Want a few hours of musical entertainment amidst the stressors of the end of the semester? K-State Choirs will host several upcoming performances.
Collegium Musicum, an ensemble performing works composed prior to 1750 and directed by David Wood, advanced instructor of early music, will perform in conjunction with the University Treble Choir, directed by Jamie Bunce, assistant director of choral studies, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at St. Isidore's Catholic Student Center.
Concert Choir, K-State's top choral ensemble directed by Joshua Oppenheim, director of choral studies, will present Uģis Prauliņš's masterwork, "Missa Rigensis," on April 28, also at St. Isidore's Catholic Student Center. The concert will also feature the Manhattan High School Chamber Choir, directed by Chad Pape. Purchase tickets for the performance.
In-A-Chord, K-State's award-winning a cappella ensemble, will present its show, "Fifteen," on May 4 at Chapman Theatre in commemoration of its 15th anniversary as an ensemble. Purchase tickets for the performance.
Collegiate Chorale, directed by Bunce, performed its concert, "The Return of Spring," on April 20. This concert featured multiple soloists and a variety of repertoire, representing music from around the world.
