Movies on the Grass: Featuring 'Serious Play'
Come join us for a free outdoor movie at 8 p.m. Sunday in Coffman Plaza, the lawn in front of Hale Library.
This week's movie "Serious Play" is a combination of a TED Talk lecture and animated shorts exploring the deeper meaning behind gaming, why we love games and the impact they have on our lives. Themes include gamification, what it means to be a gamer, freedom of speech and how games enrich our lives. The film will complement the Kansas State Book Network book "Ready Player One."
Bring yourself, a lawn chair or blanket and maybe even a friend.
For each of our film showings, we try to collect resources and discussions guides that students and faculty may find useful before and after the film. These materials take many different forms and come from varied sources. Resources can be found online.
