Alexandra Bahadori and Brian Hanson, with Engineering Extension's radon programs, published "Evaluation of consumer digital radon measurement devices: a comparative analysis" in the Journal of Radiological Protection.

Bahadori, lab manager for the Engineering Extension Radon Chamber, was the primary author. She compared eight consumer grade digital radon monitors to evaluate the accuracy and precision of each model type for each radon concentration tested.

"Alex is an incredible asset to the radon programs at Engineering Extension and Kansas State University," said Hanson, director of the Kansas Radon Program. "Engineering Extension has been a national and state repository for all things radon for three decades. This article adds to that knowledge and reinforces Engineering Extension's credibility on the national stage."

The department of Engineering Extension is in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering Kansas State University. It has hosted radon programing for more than 30 years. Visit engext.ksu.edu to learn more.
