3-Minute Pitch will celebrate summer undergraduate research
Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research will facilitate an opportunity for undergraduate summer researchers to highlight the incredible work they've done this summer.
The 3-Minute Pitch event will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, in Town Hall and Room 127 of the Leadership Studies Building. The event is open to the public. Any undergraduate student participating in summer research is welcome to register. Light refreshments will be served.
As different disciplines have unique practices, this event will feature unique modes of presentation. Students will have the option of presenting a 3-Minute Thesis-style synopsis, speaking for up to three minutes with the use of one slide displayed and/or presenting a printed poster. The event will begin with three-minute presentations, then a 30-45 minute pause in oral presentations will allow for posters to be presented. After this, oral presentations will resume if needed. Oral presentations will be given in random order.
Registration is now open and will close at 5 p.m. on July 18. Students giving an oral presentation will use a single slide, which is due to maggiekay@k-state.edu by noon on July 22. Oral presenters do not need to bring any technology.
As registrations are received, a schedule of events will be made available to presenters and their mentors and coordinators.
This event will not be judged.
