Mindful Communication for Supervisors offered Oct. 10

Mindful Communication for Supervisors will be offered from 8-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in 132 Dykstra Hall.
This session will provide participants insight into their own communication styles and anxieties. Participation will help supervisors understand how oral and nonverbal communication can help to create more mindful, effective messages to employees.
As a result of this session, participants will:
- Recognize the importance of effective communication, including nonverbal communication.
- Identify your current communication style and its impact on others.
- Apply techniques and strategies to become more skilled in interpersonal communication.
You must be a current supervisor of university support staff or unclassified professionals to attend this session. This session is offered in conjunction with the K-State Supervisory Foundations Pillar I: Establishing Your Supervisory Foundation certificate program, and seating is limited.
