K-State Employee United Way Campaign launches on Oct. 2

Submitted by United Way Campaign Committee

The Kansas State University community is gearing up for a meaningful initiative as the annual United Way campaign kicks off on Wednesday, Oct. 2. This year's launch will take place during the university's 2024 Benefits Fair, held at the K-State Alumni Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The United Way campaign plays a crucial role in supporting local organizations and initiatives that benefit communities across the region. Employees are encouraged to participate and learn more about how their contributions make a significant impact.

"We are excited to kick off this year's campaign and encourage all K-State employees to get involved," said Tim Steffensmeier, assistant vice president and director of engagement and outreach, and lead for the K-State Employee United Way Campaign. "Every contribution, no matter how small, can help us make a difference in the lives of those in need."

At the Benefits Fair, attendees will have the opportunity to treat themselves to Call Hall Dairy Bar ice cream, connect with representatives from the K-State United Way team and gain insights into the benefits of supporting the United Way.

The K-State Employee United Way Campaign will be from Oct. 2-31. Together, we can strengthen our community to create lasting change. Make your pledge now.
