Dec. 15 finals rescheduled for Friday
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Dear K-State Students,
We hope this note finds you safe. The weather event on Wednesday, Dec. 15, caused significant disruption to many final examination plans. If your final exam was postponed, please see the updates below for the rescheduled times.
Salina campus: K-State Salina final exams have been postponed for the rest of the week due to continued complications from Wednesday’s events. Faculty will be reaching out to students by 5 p.m. today with information on how to complete course expectations.
Manhattan campus: Final exams scheduled after 4 p.m. on Dec. 15 — Any exam that was postponed due to weather on Dec. 15 is rescheduled for Friday, Dec. 17, at the same location, but two hours earlier than originally scheduled, based on the Set-Examination Schedule, as listed below:
Room location should be the same and you will be notified if there is an update to the location based on conflicts with Friday exams. Check your KSIS Schedule for updates.
Due to the large number of sections being moved, students should make every effort to complete the course as assigned. Given the unusual circumstances, students who are unable to take the exam on the new day and time should work directly with their instructor to identify alternatives. Please note that the instructor has no control over the schedule provided and that we are all working to address the emergency situation. Your grace and flexibility are appreciated.
Final exams given from 2-3:50 p.m. Dec. 15: Some final examinations were in process during the weather event. We understand that students may have felt unsafe or anxious during the exam and some exams may have been cut short. In such instances, we ask that you work directly with your instructor regarding options to complete your exam. Students registered with the Student Access Center can continue to work with that office for accommodation.
Final grade submission: The final day to submit grades for fall 2021 remains at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@k-state.edu.
Again, we thank you for your continued grace as we meet another challenging moment in the fall 2021 semester.
Sincerely,
Provost Taber
