Do you spend most of your time sitting at work?
Do you spend most of your time sitting at work? If so, you may be interested in a free program designed to help you incorporate more physical activity during your workday.
Emily Mailey, in kinesiology, and Sara Rosenkranz, in human nutrition, are recruiting women between the ages of 25-50 who work at least 35 hours per week in a sedentary job and don’t currently exercise regularly. We will provide you with strategies for reducing sitting time at work and study the effects of the increased activity on your health.
As part of your participation, you will attend two testing appointments and receive $15 per visit in addition to information about your health, including:
• Cholesterol and triglycerides
• Body composition
• Fasting glucose
• Blood pressure
• Physical activity levels
The study will last eight weeks and we will provide tools for you to track your activity during the workday throughout the study.
