Free graduate student workshop: Student loan repayment
Submitted by Christyne Stephenson
More and more students are taking out loans to fund their education. Once schooling is complete, however, those loans will need to be repaid. It can be overwhelming trying to know where to start or how to manage one's debt.
Join Powercat Financial Counseling from 2-3 p.m. April 10 in the K-State Student Union Sunflower Room as we discuss how to connect with your loan providers, smart repayment strategies, how to consolidate loans and available programs to get them forgiven.
This workshop is the final part of a three-part series of graduate student financial education workshops provided by K-State's Powercat Financial Counseling as part of a grant from the Council of Graduate Schools funded from TIAA-CREF.
Students can win the following prizes for participation in these events
- $25 gift card for the first 50 in attendance to each event
- Additional entry for $100-$500 gift cards for each event attended after taking the financial quiz sent by email later in the semester
- Entry to win an iPad mini for attending all three and taking the quiz
