University Climate Survey open forum April 7
Submitted by Ruth Dyer and Tom Vontz
Progress continues on a University Climate Survey planned for the fall 2014 semester. As part of preparations for the survey implementation, consultant Sue Rankin, Rankin & Associates Consultants, will be on the Manhattan campus Monday, April 7, to share an overview of the project and answer questions. The informational forum is scheduled for 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the K-State Student Union Little Theatre and is open to all K-State faculty, staff and students on all three campuses. For those who cannot attend in person the forum will be streamed live.
As part of Rankin’s April 7 visit, 13 focus groups also will be conducted earlier that day with different campus constituencies to help ensure inclusion of major topics as questions for the survey are developed.
Jointly appointed last fall by Provost and Senior Vice President April Mason, Faculty Senate President Julia Keen and Classified Senate President Janice Taggart, the University Climate Survey Committee has been meeting to develop the survey as an important tool in building a university environment that promotes success for all as envisioned in K-State 2025.
We hope you can join us April 7 and look forward to sharing more information as the project moves forward.
