The 5th Annual Electric Power Affiliates Program Day
All are invited to attend K-State's Electrical Power Affiliates Program Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the engineering atrium between Rathbone and Fiedler halls.
Corporate representatives will be attending including: Burns & McDonnell, Fishnet Security, Kansas City Power & Light, Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Omaha Public Power District, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Sega and Westar Energy.
Technical and human resources representatives from the companies will discuss career opportunities and collaborations with students as well as present in many engineering classes throughout the day.
Students are encouraged to sign up for mock interviews with the eight companies through their accounts with career and employment services. There also will be a free lunch at noon Wednesday, prizes given away throughout the day and a reception at 2 p.m. in the engineering atrium.
In addition to Electric Power Affiliates Program Day, a young graduates panel and speed networking session will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, in Fiedler Hall Auditorium. The evening will conclude with pizza and prizes from 7:30-8 p.m. All engineering students are welcome.
