K-State business students invited to presentation by immediate past chair of American Institute of CPAs

On Feb. 24, Bill Balhoff, the immediate past chair of the American Institute of CPAs and managing director and CEO for Postlethwaite & Netterville, will visit K-State and meet with students and faculty in the College of Business Administration.
Balhoff's hosts for the visit are the Kansas Society of CPAs and the department of accounting at K-State.
Students in the college are invited to attend a panel discussion with Balhoff from 12:25-1:15 p.m. in the Flint Hills Room at the K-State Student Union. Registration is required. Dan Deines, past chair of the Kansas Society of CPAs and a professor of accounting at K-State, will moderate the event.
Balhoff has more than 35 years of experience in technical audit, accounting and consulting activities. His primary industry groups are financial institutions, SEC firms, retailers and insurance companies. He is a past chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' AICPA's Private Companies Practice Session Executive Committee and a past member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council. Additionally, he has been named among the "Top 100 Most Influential People" in the accounting industry by Accounting Today and CPA Magazine.
