K-State Student Foundation currently accepting applications for new members
The K-State Student Foundation is currently seeking passionate, service-minded freshmen, sophomores and juniors with strong communication skills who are interested in sharing the impact of philanthropic gifts to the university. Serving as a branch of the Kansas State University Foundation, the fundraising arm of K-State, the student foundation gives its members a chance to truly experience K-State from a unique and exciting viewpoint offered to only a few.
Membership in foundation provides countless opportunities and benefits for K-State students. As a member, you will interact and network with K-State’s most successful alumni, friends and corporate partners in a variety of settings. Student foundation has the privilege of communicating the impact of philanthropic gifts to contributors when we serve as hosts in the KSU Foundation skybox, at President’s Club events, and even when golfing on the links with university benefactors at Colbert Hills. Members of student foundation frequently report that they have increased their network of contacts for jobs and internships through visiting with alumni. Most importantly, your involvement will provide you with an opportunity to interact with a close group of talented students who truly value service to others. Finally, you will be able to develop your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses as a leader on campus.
If you would like to learn more about student foundation or apply for membership, you can visit www.found.ksu.edu/studentfoundation, or come to a brief informational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, in the Flint Hills Room of the K-State Student Union. Applications will be due Wednesday, Feb. 8. If you have any questions about foundation or the selections process, please don't hesitate to contact Andrew Waldman, student foundation vice president of membership, at awal23@k-state.edu.
