Entomologist invited as guest editor of special issue of International Journal of Evolutionary Biology
Jeremy Marshall, associate professor of entomology, served as guest editor of a special issue of the International Journal of Evolutionary Biology. The issue was titled "The evolution of sex-related traits and genes." A growing number of studies are drawing attention to a consistent pattern of rapid evolution of sex-related traits and genes. Different hypotheses have been proposed to explain this rapid divergence. The 10 papers published in this Issue tackle some of these fundamental questions on the evolution of sex-related traits and genes. The articles included in this issue are intended to inspire, motivate, and challenge others to study the many questions that are emerging in this boundless field. The issue can be viewed online.
