Furloughs prevented: The state of Kansas approves bill to make all employees essential
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
The state of Kansas approved a stopgap bill Saturday, June 6, to make all state of Kansas employees essential through the end of the legislative session, preventing a furlough. Although the Kansas Legislature has not approved a budget yet, all Kansas State University employees — regardless if they were given notification on Friday — should report to work for their normal schedule.
