Sociologist presents research at annual meeting of Society for the Study of Social Problems
Nadia Shapkina, assistant professor of sociology, recently presented the paper "Bodies Across Borders: Changing Patterns of Sex Trade Migration in Eurasia" at the annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Social Problems in Chicago.
Shapkina's paper analyzed shifting trends in sex trade migration to Turkey and the risks of sex trafficking of women in the region.
