Rotary Peace Fellowships available
The Manhattan and Konza Rotary clubs are requesting nominations for Rotary Peace Fellowships, which offers a master's degree — for those who do not previously have a master's — or a Professional Development Certificate in peace and conflict resolution. Fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, roundtrip transportation, and all internship and field study expenses.
Masters degree fellowships are 15 to 24 months including a practical internship. Domestic students apply for a fellowship outside the U.S. from:
- International Christian University, Japan
- University of Bradford, England
- University of Queensland, Australia
- Uppsala University, Sweden
For working professionals who want to enhance their peace and conflict resolution skills, a three-month program is offered by Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
Rotary selects about 100 individuals each year for the Rotary Peace Fellowships. Five K-Staters have received this prestigious award, including David Kozar, master's degree; Summer Lewis, master's degree; Katrina Lewis, certificate program; Vibhavari Jani, certificate program; and Ryadi Adityavarman, certificate program.
The application process includes a nomination by the local and district Rotary clubs, completed application and an in-depth interview process. Read the eligibility requirements and restrictions. Applications through the Manhattan Rotary Club should be submitted by April 11.
For applications or questions about the Rotary Peace Fellowships, contact Rebecca Gould, ragou@k-state.edu. Please do not fill out an application online until later as per our request.
