Renew It: A convenient library service for K-State faculty members delivered to the office or lab

Submitted by Sarah McGreer Hoyt

If you have library materials checked out that you can no longer renew online, consider using K-State Libraries' Renew It service.

By using Renew It, you:

  • Won't have to transport dozens of books back to the library to re-check them out.
  • Will have a single due date applied to all of your library items.
  • Won't have any blocks on your library account.

How does it work? K-State faculty members contact K-State Libraries at halecirc@k-state.edu or 785-532-3014 to schedule a day and time when a staff member can visit you in your office or lab. Your materials must be physically present so our representative can check in all of your library materials and then check them back out to you.

This process allows a library representative to see items in person once each year to ensure they don't need preservation or repair. It also helps us account for our holdings as required by our auditing policies.

To set up an appointment, contact halecirc@k-state.edu or 785-532-3014 and mention "Renew It."
