Chief operating officer of Bain Capital to speak Thursday
Mike Goss, managing director of Bain Capital, will be at K-State Thursday to talk about a wide range of topics, from careers and study abroad to private equity and politics.
Goss' talk will begin at 2:30 p.m. in 105 Umberger Hall.
Questions will be solicited from the audience after preselected questions have been asked.
Goss has been with Bain Capital since 2001 as managing director and chief financial officer. In 2004, he was also named chief operating officer, a role he held until 2011. Currently, Goss is focused exclusively on the firm’s investor relations efforts.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Goss was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Digitas Inc., a worldwide Internet professional services firm, which he helped take public in March 2000. Prior to Digitas Inc., Goss was executive vice president, chief financial officer and a member of the board of directors of Playtex Products Inc. Goss was a senior associate at Bain Capital from 1987 to 1989.
Goss is a graduate of the K-State College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a bachelor's in economics and master of business adminstration from the Harvard Business School.
