Rusty Earl, the College of Education's new videographer, was honored in February when Sprout film festival director, Anthony Di Salvo, contacted him for permission to showcase his short film “My Brother Hyrum” in the April 2012 film festival in New York. Di Salvo's festival showcases films from around the world dealing with people with developmental disabilities.
"The Sprout Film Festival aims to raise their profile by showcasing works of all genres featuring this population," Earl said. He made this video earlier in summer 2011 as a way to describe autism from his daughter’s point of view. You can view the video at http://vimeo.com/29939497.
