Submitted by Brent Fritzemeier
The National Strategic Selling Institute at K-State invites students to enjoy some pizza during an informational session for those interested in obtaining a certificate in professional strategic selling. The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, in 4061 Business Building.
The certificate program is open to all majors at the university, and allows students to distinguish themselves by demonstrating professionalism and competency in selling skills.
"Studies have shown that almost 50 percent of students will be doing some type of sales in their first job out of college, so a student who graduates from our program really has a leg up on the competition," said Dawn Deeter, director of the National Strategic Selling Institute. "Students who graduate from our program have a 100 percent placement rate, and many are receiving multiple job offers."
For the past five years, the institute in the College of Business Administration has been named one of the top sales programs in the country by the Sales Education Foundation.
