The deadline to submit breakout session proposals for the Women Managing the Farm Conference is Sept. 1. "Her AgriCULTURE Story: Change, Adapt, Grow" is the theme of the conference Feb. 9-10, 2017, in Manhattan.
Proposals should address one or more USDA Risk Management Association risk categories: Development, financial, human/personal, institutional — includes legal, price/market and production. Non-RMA risk areas such as community advocacy and retail agriculture also will be considered.
The conference is sponsored by K-State Research and Extension and public and private sector partners from across the state. The two-day conference targets women who are actively involved on the farm as well as those engaged in agribusiness.
