Dominic Barnes new Veteran's Center and Military Student Services manager
The Office of Student Life has announced Dominic Barnes as manager of the Veteran's Center in the K-State Union.
Barnes, who also works for Global Campus on Fort Riley, will assume the leadership of the Veteran's Center and provide support for all veterans and military-connected students at K-State. Barnes is retired from Fort Riley after 27 years with the Army and is a K-State alumnus with a Master of Arts in modern languages. His experiences include law enforcement, presidency of a local nonprofit organization, both peacekeeping and combat deployments, and on-campus and online education. He looks forward to serving the K-State community.
Also, the renovation of the K-State Student Union Veteran's Center will be completed in February, so stay tuned for the grand reopening. The Veteran's Center is currently housed in the Cat's Pause on the second floor of the K-State Student Union.
