Anatomy and physiology department announces spring seminar series
The anatomy and physiology department in the College of Veterinary Medicine has announced the schedule for its spring 2017 seminar series.
Hans Coetzee, department head, said there will be an emphasis on TED-style talks.
"Currently the Anatomy and Physiology Seminar Series is focused on the in-depth exploration of specialized topics in biomedical research," Coetzee said. "However, in order to engage the broader university community and to foster collaborations across departments, we are exploring the use of a 'TED-style' format for our seminar series this spring."
"TED-style presentations are about spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks," he said. "This format provides a unique opportunity for our faculty to showcase current topics and ideas that we are passionate about in the area of research and teaching. Our goal is to provide colleagues across the university an opportunity to connect with the faculty in our department and gain a greater understanding of what it is that we do."
Each of the seminars will be at 4 p.m. Mondays in the Mara Conference Center on the fourth floor of Trotter Hall.
