Office of Research and Sponsored Programs offers research communication workshop
Good research communication is a vital component of our efforts to inform taxpayers and citizens of the importance of the work we are doing at K-State. A few tools, tips, techniques and a little practice can help researchers improve presentation and media interview skills.
Sarah Hancock, communications coordinator for the Office of the Vice President for Research, will help you boost communication skills and feel confident talking to different audiences and giving interviews. Register to attend the workshop from 3:30-5 p.m. March 7, in the K-State Student Union Cottonwood Room.
The workshop is designed to be an efficient use of participants' time and will include both why we need to communicate research to general audiences and how to do it. Attendees should come prepared to fill out a communication worksheet and participate in small group and large group discussion.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs offers a full menu of training events each semester. View the events calendar. Call the office at 785-532-6195 with questions.
