New date of Thursday, April 13 for information session for 2017 common book selection
To prevent scheduling conflicts with Thursday's Landon Lecture, the new date for the information session for the 2017 common book selection is Thursday, April 13. The session will run 11 a.m. to noon in 227 K-State Student Union.
As previously announced, the information session allows faculty, staff, graduate teaching assistants, and student leaders to discuss how the 2017 selection, Haddon's "Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime," can be part of coursework and event programming.
Tara Coleman, chair of the K-State Book Network, and other members of KSBN will share resources for Haddon's book. Education, creativity, perception, logic, forensic science, geography, animal assisted therapy and family are just some of the issues raised by "Curious Incident."
Participants are welcome to stop by at any time during the hour to visit with members of KSBN. Refreshments will be served.
RSVP by April 11 for an opportunity to receive a copy of "Curious Incident" at the session. Previously registered participants will be automatically included for the new date.
