Submitted by Human Capital Services - Benefits
Suicide impacts individuals in the U.S. everyday. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 44,193 people die by suicide every year. K-State's Student Governing Association, Union Program Council, Peer Advocates for Mental Wellness and Success and WellCat Ambassadors are offering a suicide awareness walk at noon on April 8 on the K-State Manhattan campus.
Join your fellow K-Staters in the Out of the Darkness walk to raise awareness of mental illness and funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Are you coping with mental health issues or depression? The Employee Assistance Program is available to employees for up to eight free and confidential counseling sessions with a professional counselor in your area.
