Student Governing Association is accepting interns for 2017-2018 term
Are you interested in student government? The intern program is a great opportunity to meet other students involved in leadership roles on campus, learn more about the university, hear from guest speakers, participate in student senate, and much more throughout the school year.
Annie Jewell and Hannah Markel, intern coordinators, are extending the invitation to come to a casual, informational meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 31 in the Center for Student Involvement conference room on the second floor of the K-State Student Union.
This meeting will be a time to hear a brief overview of what the year will look like, answer any questions you might have, hear from former interns, and listen to what you might be interested in learning more about if you were to participate in the intern program.
If you aren't able to come, text, call, or email Jewell at ajewell3@k-state.edu or 913-206-1216, or Markel at hnmarkel@k-state.edu or 913-475-5857 with any questions or concerns. You do not have to come in order to apply to the program. Feel free to stick around as SGA's full Student Senate will meet at 7 p.m. This will be a firsthand look at SGA's new meeting space, seeing how Senate works, a chance to meet the student body president, and more.
With that being said, there is a short online application for the intern program that needs to be filled out in order to be considered for the program and that deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6.
Thanks and go 'Cats!
