Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Kansas State University’s Blue Key, a senior leadership honor society, has selected its new members for the 2012-2013 school year.
Blue Key recognizes college students at senior institutions of higher education for excellence in scholarship, leadership and service.
Membership is based on all-around leadership in student life, high scholastic achievement, service to others and citizenship. Students must also have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and significant leadership experience in at least two student or community organizations to be considered for membership selection.
Blue Key members participate in several activities at the university and in the community. Members facilitate uLeads, which are free leadership and team skills training sessions for K-State students, clubs and organizations. The society also annually awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to K-State undergraduates. The awards include $500 Leadership and Service scholarships.
