Graduate Student Council professional development: Poster Presentations 101
Graduate students who are planning to present research or scholarly work at a poster session this semester should plan to attend the Graduate Student Council professional development workshop, Poster Presentations 101, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in the Big 12 Room of K-State Student Union.
Theresa Merrick, Writing Center outreach coordinator, will share information on how to effectively design a poster that is visually appealing and well-organized. In this session, attendees also will learn how to present written, graphic and oral content that can be easily understood and has an impact on diverse audiences. This session may be especially useful for graduate students who plan to give their first poster presentation this semester, but more experienced graduate students also may learn new strategies for improving their presentation skills.

This session will count toward the Graduate Student Council Professional Development Certificate series. Learn more about the Graduate Student Council.
