Court again sides with K-State in alleged wrongful termination claim
Submitted by Office of General Counsel
The Riley County District Court recently denied a motion to alter or amend its previous order, which found that former Kansas State University researcher Joseph Craine was not entitled to reinstatement to his former position or any damages.
Craine, a former researcher, was terminated by K-State in 2014 for making misrepresentations about other university researchers. The court ruled that substantial evidence supported K-State's decision to terminate Craine's employment.
The court also found that Craine's whistleblower claim was not timely and was not supported by the evidence.
