Agronomy department to host regional crops contest
The agronomy department will host the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture, or NACTA, regional crops contest on Friday, March 9. The event will start at 9:30 a.m. in Throckmorton Hall.
More than 100 students and faculty from 13 two- and four-year colleges are registered to attend. The event includes four sections that will cover key agronomic concepts: plant and seed identification, a lab practical, a math practical and an agronomic exam.
