The K-State chapter of the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth, or SPICMACAY, invites you to the 2018 Vasant Dance Fest. Vasant is the spring season and this event is to celebrate the onset of spring as well as showcase and learn about the traditional Indian art forms.

SPICMACAY has invited a renowned Indian classical dancer Ramya S Kapadia, from North Carolina, with her orchestra to showcase the dance form of Bharatnatyam. This dance performance to live music will take place at 6:30 p.m. April 7 in the Wildcat Chamber of the K-State Student Union.

The society also will host a dance workshop before the performance by Charumathi Jagadheeswaran from 5-6 p.m. in the Union courtyard. The workshop is an opportunity to learn about the art form before the main event.

Enjoy the performance and an Indian art exhibit at 5:30 p.m. onward in the Wildcat Chamber.
