Registration open for annual Three Minute Thesis competition
The Graduate School will host the fourth annual Three Minute Thesis competition, which challenges graduate students to present a compelling oration on their thesis/dissertation topic and its significance in just three minutes using just one slide. 3MT® facilitates development of academic, presentation and research communication skills. The competition focuses on the students' ability to communicate the importance of their research to the broader community.
K-State master's and doctoral students from any discipline are welcome to participate if their graduate program of study includes a thesis, dissertation, or other original research project. The 3MT® presentation topic must cover the student's original research project that is being conducted as part of their K-State graduate degree program.
Heats, or preliminary competitions, will be on Feb. 13. Judges will select participants from each heat to compete in the final competition on Feb. 21. From the final competition, judges will select first- and second-place winners, and the audience will vote for its favorite presentation.
Visit the Three Minute Thesis webpage to learn more and register.
Registration deadline is 5 p.m. Feb. 1.
