Economics professor and co-authors publish paper in JAMA, receive prestigious grant

Amanda Gaulke, assistant professor of economics in the College of Arts and Sciences, is part of a research team that published an original paper in the most widely circulated medical journal in the world, JAMA.
Gaulke, along with co-authors Niels Skipper, Aarhus University; Stine Møller Sildorf, Copenhagen University Hospital; Tine M. Eriksen, VIVE — The Danish Center for Social Science Research; Nick Fabrin Nielsen, University of Copenhagen; and Jannet Svensson, Copenhagen University Hospital, published their original research paper titled "Association of Type 1 Diabetes With Standardized Test Scores of Danish Schoolchildren" in JAMA.
The research team of Skipper, Gaulke, Eriksen and Svennsson have also received a grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark: Social Sciences — the Danish equivalent of National Science Foundation: Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences — of approximately $652,000 to work on more health economics papers through 2022.
