Truman scholarship campus deadline approaching
Campus applications for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship are due March 22.
Kansas State University is permitted to nominate up to four individuals to compete nationally. The Truman scholarship awards up to $30,000 to support graduate study for students who seek careers in public service and aspire to leadership on issues of public policy. Since 1980, K-State students have competed successfully more than 30 times.
Students eligible to apply in this upcoming application cycle must plan on graduating between December 2020 and August 2021. Students must also be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals, rank in the top quarter of their class, and have an excellent record of leadership and service.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to share this information with potential applicants and encourage them to visit with Jim Hohenbary in 215 Fairchild Hall. If you wish to share the names of particular students, have questions, or want to obtain a copy of the campus application, contact Hohenbary at jimlth@k-state.edu.
