Students receive the Muir ATO Blue Key Leadership Scholarship
Two K-state Blue Key seniors — Kyler Langvardt, who is studying agricultural communication and journalism, Chapman, and Miranda Moore who is studying communication studies, political science and pre-law, Pittsburg — were selected by their peers for the Muir ATO Blue Key Leadership Scholarship.
These awards were first presented in 1999 to honor Bill Muir's uncle and father who were members of the Blue Key classes of 1939 and 1940, respectively. Along with a plaque, Langvardt and Moore received a check for $1,000 each. The students were nominated based on their commitment, dedication, support of others, unselfishness and willing to help.
Moore served as the director of public relations and outreach and was voted by her class as most committed, considerate, dependable, driven and hard-working. Langvardt served as director of personal and professional development and was voted by his class as well-intentioned, someone you can always trust, most respectful and the person willing to step up.
Congratulations to Moore and Langvardt on their hard work and dedication to K-State and Blue Key.
