Time accommodations for general election voting today
Polling locations are generally open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., allowing employees to vote without affecting work hours. For employees who live in other counties, accommodations should be made for those needing to arrive at work a bit late or leave a bit early to make the polls.
If an employee cannot get to the polls outside of work hours, time should be allowed to go vote without leave being charged. If the poll hours are different, time could be adjusted accordingly if necessary.
