Native American Student Association: 'For the Next 7 Generations' movie
The Native American Student Association brings you the movie "For the Next 7 Generations" at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the K-State Student Union Little Theatre. The movie is about 13 indigenous grandmothers that come together from four corners of the Earth to form an alliance, The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.
It tells the story of their concerns and how they came together. It is filmed on location of each of the grandmothers and the conference forming the alliance. The film is the first in a series of events brought to you for Native American Heritage Month by the Native American Student Association, office of diversity and the Student Governing Association. This movie is also sponsored by the Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers Foundation www.fhwisdomkeepers.org.
The film trailor can be previewed at www.forthenext7generations.com. Please visit our Native American Student Association website for future events including Native American Heritage Day on Nov. 12.
