Writers and artists invited to submit to Touchstone magazine
If you are a writer or artist, Touchstone, K-State's student-edited literary magazine, is accepting submissions until Dec. 1.
All K-State students, regardless of major or department, are invited to submit their work for publication in Touchstone 2020. Works of art, photography, fiction, nonfiction and poetry are all accepted by Touchstone.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the first and second place undergraduate award winners for the genres of poetry, nonfiction and fiction.
Submissions should be sent via email to touch@k-state.edu. Personal information and contact information should be included in the body of the message and submission(s) should be attached as Word files with no name or personal information included in the documents.
For each genre, please follow these guidelines:
- Poetry: Send up to five poems — up to 12 pages total — as an attachment with the word "Poetry" as your subject line.
- Creative nonfiction: Send up to two essays — up to 12 pages each — as an attachment with the word "Nonfiction" as your subject line.
- Fiction: Send up to two stories — up to 12 pages each — as an attachment with the word "Fiction" as your subject line.
- Art: Send up to 10 visual art pieces with "Art" as your subject line.
You may send multiple submissions for a single genre attached to one email. However, if you have work to send for more than one genre, please send submissions in separate emails with the appropriate subject line for each genre.
The deadline for submission is Dec. 1.
