Submitted by Frederick Burrack
Frederick Burrack, director of the office of assessment and chair of graduate studies in music, has been selected as a national expert in music education for the summit for "Hard to Measure Content Areas," Dec. 13-14, in Washington, D.C. This summit is sponsored by the American Institue for Research, or AIR.
The summit focuses on developing a highly innovative item bank based on national standards for student achievement. The item bank will include sophisticated computer generated simulations and will be machine scored. The hope is to create a cutting edge, reliable and classroom friendly assessment process.
