Summer Faculty-Led Education Abroad programs
Students who are interested in studying abroad this summer on a K-State Faculty-Led Education Abroad program are invited to apply by Feb. 15.
Faculty-led Education Abroad programs are structured K-State sponsored programs. They are K-State courses taught by K-State faculty where the academic instruction takes place in part or entirely abroad.
The following programs are accepting applications through Feb. 15:
- KSU in Berlin and Leipzig: 10-day study tour to Berlin focusing on German culture, architecture, and history. Includes the option for post-program German language immersion at the Herder Institut in Leipzig, Germany.
- KSU in Prague: Monthlong interdisciplinary program to Prague, Czech Republic. Open to all majors. Students enroll in a K-State course, as well as a second course at Charles University in Prague.
- Art, Culture and Education in Ireland: 11-day study tour to Ireland focusing on art education, Irish folk art and art workshops.
- Literacy Education in the U.K.: 10-day study tour to London and Oxford, U.K., focusing on literacy and place-based writing.
- Language and Literacy Education in Sweden: 10-day study tour with hands-on teaching opportunities for students interested in ESL and elementary education.
- Spanish and Culture in Madrid, Pamplona and Barcelona: Monthlong Spanish culture and language immersion program. Students enroll in a K-State course as well as a course at Universidad de Navarra in Spain.
- Spanish and Culture in Mexico: Monthlong Spanish language immersion and culture program. Students enroll in a K-State course as well as a course at ITESM in Queretaro, Mexico.
- Italy-Children and Families in Cultural Context: Three-week study tour to Italy focusing on early childhood education. Participants visit local schools and have opportunities to engage with children, educators and families.
- Communication and Democracy in Ireland: Two-week study tour to Dublin, Galway and other locations focusing on democracy and communication through an Irish lens.
