Biodiesel production facility volunteers needed
A small group of students and faculty are in the process of designing Kansas State's first small scale biodiesel production facility. The intention is for the facility to be operated and managed mostly by K-State students to convert used cooking oil from campus dining halls and local restaurants into usable biodiesel to be utilized on campus and in the community in the future.
We're currently looking for individuals who are interested in promoting sustainability on and off campus by producing a fuel from waste, saving the school money and promoting biodiesel and its benefits. We will also be exploring other avenues of alternative energy and how to best utilize them on campus and in the community.
Please email kstate.biodiesel@gmail.com to be included in future emails, including the time and location of a meeting we will be having in the next week.
