Office of First-generation Students to host virtual graduation celebration
The Office of First-generation Students, along with several campus partners, will celebrate this year's first-generation fall commencement graduates virtually from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. First-generation graduates, their families and the K-State community are invited to celebrate their accomplishments.
Information about the online event will be posted at k-state.edu/firstgen/.
"We recognize the importance of celebrating our students' accomplishments and the significance of this milestone for our students and their families," said Rebeca Paz, the office's assistant director. "All first-generation graduates who respond to the invitation to this event will receive a green cord symbolizing their resilience to wear to commencement as well as other small tokens of congratulatory sentiment."
